PROCEDURES

Procedures are descriptions of how things are done, steps for accomplishing a result. Sometimes procedures areunstated, the result fo tradition or common practice. Sometimes procedures are laid out in great detail in manuals, as is true, say of tax laws. Most computer procedures appear in the manual that you aquire when you buy the system. The manuals contain the instructions or rules to follow when you are using that hardware or software.

It is important to follow the procedures that you are given so that you don't screw anything up and make matters worse. As boring as it is to follow instructions, they help a lot and you won't have to worry about messing things up even worse. >
